I'm lucky enough to have a job (videogame "journalist") where one of my hobbies is my work, but outside of videogames, I enjoy watching sports, getting together with friends, karaoke (Japanese-style), and playing pen-and-paper RPGs (when there's an available Dungeonmaster).
I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to music. I enjoy everything from hip-hop to country, but most of my favorites are rock/pop. Some of my favorite artists include David Bowie ("Ground control to Major Tom"), Freddie Mercury, YMO, Blur, Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Pet Shop Boys. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to movies -- as long as I'm entertained, that's all that matters. Some of my favorite movies are Memento, Donnie Darko, and Pirates of the Caribbean (for Johnny Depp, mostly). And I like M. Night Shyamalan flicks, if only for the inane "twists." I also unabashedly enjoy B-movies -- anything with Lorenzo Lamas (TV's "Renegade") is strangely enthralling.
In general, I enjoy learning new things and expanding my knowledge of the world as a whole -- three of my biggest interests are history, politics, and geography. I think it's important to understand history, different cultures, and different countries -- too often, people live in their own isolated corner of the world and don't consider the bigger picture. I think the world would be far saner if everyone -- on all sides -- took the time to really learn about the beliefs of people they disagree with instead of thoughtlessly insulting them.
